What T-Type Actually Means — It Is Not a T-Shaped Spacer
One vocabulary trap before the comparison. In leveling-system terms, "T-Type" means the screw-cap family: a flat base plate sits under the tile, a threaded post rises through the joint, and a cap screws down to pull the two faces level. It has nothing to do with tile spacers — the T-shaped products that sit inside grout joints — even though both are called "T-something." Clip & Wedge — The Volume Workhorse
A break-off clip goes under the tile and a tile leveling wedge tensions the joint from above. After the mortar reaches the removal stage stated by its manufacturer, the exposed clip stem is removed and the wedge is recovered. Tile leveling clips run $0.70–0.85 per bag of 100 pieces at the published MOQ, or $0.007–0.0085 per clip. The T-Type family uses a threaded adjustment component instead of a wedge. The reusable tile leveler line covers BM-F01–BM-F06 and is listed at $1.30–1.70 per 50-piece bag, or $0.026–0.034 per listed piece, with MOQ 200 bags. Confirm which components are recovered or remain under the tile for the selected model. Test the contact point and tightening method on representative tile; price does not prove reuse life, speed or surface safety.
Horseshoe Shims — Not a Leveling System, and That Is the Point
BM-H01 horseshoe shims are PP support pieces in four published sizes: 1.5, 3.0, 5.0 and 6.5mm. They are listed at $0.60–0.70 per 100-piece bag, or $0.006–0.007 each, with MOQ 500 bags. They do not tension adjacent tile faces, and once embedded they are consumed in that installation. Use them only where the placement method and project specification permit.
Cost Per Square Meter: When the T-Type Pays Off
Use the placement model before comparing cost. At about 11 clips per square meter for a 60×60cm floor, disposable-clip cost is the required clip count multiplied by the current per-piece quote. Wedges and T-type parts need a working-set estimate based on simultaneous open work areas, removal timing, cleaning and expected loss.
